Hi! I'm Amber!
As a luxury portrait Photographer & Educator my goal is for every photographer to feel like their most authentic selves and to have the most profitable, dream business yet!
This workshop is meant to rejuvenate your creativity and to empower you as both an artist and business owner! We will build beautiful portfolio content, transform your mindset, get a plan for your marketing and gain a new group of besties to cheer you on. Stepping into luxury can be a whole lot easier than you think! I can't wait to help photographers step into their highest, most confident creative selves—with a little magic and a whole lot of heart. Hi! I'm Marie!
Marie of Marie Elizabeth Photography is a full-time motherhood photographer based out of the Washington, DC area and is a lover of all things romantic and ethereal (probably from watching Disney princess movies growing up!).
She channels this whimsical identity into her motherhood work and is proud to fully serve her clients with heirloom artwork so they can enjoy their images for many years to come. She is also a photography educator with two premiere courses, The Art of Motherhood Posing Course and Portraits That Sell Mini Course and the co-owner of the kindred path!
When she's not photographing or teaching, she loves traveling with her family, chasing after her three (very) energetic young children, or cozying up to rewatch Disney princess movies with her daughters - passing on the magic, one tiara at a time...

And then there was the models, dresses and location for the shoots, which were just beyond dreamy! But I think the most incredible part is that Amber continued to give even after the retreat, truly an open book with us all! Where's the closest airport?
Transportation to and from the retreat is not provided. You will need to get a rental car or share with another retreat attendee to get to and from styled shoot location
Is transportation provided?
Yes! A welcome email will be sent with exact location details, and what to bring. We will also have a zoom call to welcome everyone ahead of time and give you a couple of "to dos" to complete before the workshop for best results!

Listening to her teach is very easy. She helped us pinpoint what we need to change on our website and social media. Everything was on point from the models and the outfits, and the locations were a dream. She put so much love and thought into the retreat. And the house that she picked for us to stay in was amazing.

Words can’t describe how thankful I am to have found Amber. I started with a camera and zero knowledge. The Light Livin Retreat was a great investment! Attending the retreat allowed me to learn directly and in person from Amber and it was a great experience seeing her in action! The retreat was very informative, we were able to learn more about running our business, how to increase profit, how to attract our ideal client, what our website should include, and we were also able to expand our portfolio with styled shoots. I think my biggest takeaway is how to brand ourselves and to attract our ideal client. I like that we had to come up with our ideal client, and how all the details that make “her” are tools to help us reach those clients. I had never really thought about all the specific characteristics that need to be considered in an ideal client. It was truly amazing to be able to learn in person from Amber, and being able to meet like-mind photographers who were also looking to grow. I cannot thank Amber enough for her dedication and patience!
