Working with a family can be a lot to manage. But, the more prepared you are, the better the shoot will go!

Here are my 4 Must Haves from Amazon to ensure natural smiles and a smooth family session.

My favorite finds:
1. A speaker to play uplifting music to set the mood! Playing a catchy, happy song (or two or three) helps loosen up the family members and get some really great natural shots. It also works as a distraction for the kids when they are close to having a meltdown. Win/Win!

2. Puppets are always a great essential to have for a session with small children! Sometimes a kiddo is not into it at first but then I pull out my puppets and away we go with smiles!

3. Blankets are essential when doing sitting shots outside! Kids gotta be comfortable and not be sitting on anything scratchy and you also don’t want the pretty outfits getting dirty! The one I have linked here is white to prevent color casts as well.

4. A feather duster is a perfect tool to help get the kids out of their shell (or out of their meltdown) and brings out amazing natural smiles for the perfect shot!
